Christian A. Wreiole LPC

Hi! I’m Christian. Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about myself and my practice. I am an introvert with a history of overthinking and beating myself up, and then, through therapy, learned how to embrace the human experience and find happiness in my life. Mindfulness has been extraordinarily helpful in this process.

I decided to pursue becoming a therapist after struggling for some time in regards to what I wanted to do with my life. We call this existential anxiety, or anxiety regarding your existence, meaning, and purpose. I knew I wanted to help people and I knew I loved psychology, biology, and philosophy.

I, myself have spent some time in therapy working on anxiety. The most important part of therapy, in my opinion, is if you “match up” well with your therapist. It is difficult to open up to someone with whom you feel judged by or cannot identify with. I wanted a therapist who understood me and what I was experiencing. A therapist, a person, I could connect with, not someone I felt ashamed in front of. Someone authentic, solution-focused, and willing to call me out on my bullshit.

As a therapist, I take pride in my authenticity and transparency. I am human too, I laugh, I cry, all of it. I am educated and trained in counseling and therapy, but you are the expert in your own life. I hope to help guide you through your stress, but ultimately it will be you who makes the changes you want to see in your life.

I am willing to invest in you if you are willing to invest in yourself.

I work with anxious people to help them recognize and refine their obsessive thoughts and low self-esteem. They’re trying to walk their path in life with a backpack full of bricks weighing them down with each step. One of the most beneficial parts of therapy comes in the form of psychoeducation, or just learning about how we fall prey to our hurtful thinking patterns and anxiety-inducing narratives. With that information, we are readily equipped to understand and begin challenging how we see and perceive ourselves and what we accept as truth in our lives.

If you think it’s time to address the worry and stress in your life but are unsure where to start or have struggled to find relief before, you’re my people.

Outside of the therapeutic setting, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, golfing, watching animal documentaries, sports, and eating pizza. Lots of pizza. 🙂

I’ll be here if you need me.
